Leslie Mills, D.O, F.A.A.D is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in the screening and treatment of skin cancer, dermatologic surgery, and medical dermatology. Dr. Mills offers thorough skin cancer screenings with dermoscopy, an array of treatment options for precancerous skin lesions, skin cancer surgery, and other gentle procedures for skin cancer and benign lesions such as cysts, lipomas, and severely atypical nevi (abnormal moles).
Since 2018, Dr. Mills has been dedicated to serving patients in Columbia, Missouri and Owensboro, Kentucky, and is excited to join your community. She makes it a priority to provide an enjoyable experience, in addition to exceptional dermatologic care. Her goal is to ensure each patient feels welcome, comfortable, and at ease during each visit. She encourages patients to be themselves and is committed to respecting your privacy. Dr. Mills also understands that your time is valuable and strives to stay on-time for appointments.
Native to Northeast Missouri, Dr. Mills earned her undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri. She completed both her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and medical degree at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Dr. Mills went on to complete both her internal medicine residency then dermatology residency at JFK Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she served as chief resident her final years. She also received extensive training in skin cancer surgery and medical dermatology at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center. She is board-certified in both internal medicine and dermatology.
Dr. Mills is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, and a member of the Kentucky Medical Society.
In her spare time, and having been raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, Dr. Mills enjoys relaxing activities in the sunshine (with sun protection!) with her husband, Nolan, a landscape architect, their son Shepard, daughter Landon, and their cat, Nolie. She also enjoys floral design and gardening, reading, and swimming.
Dr. Mills welcomes new patients to the Kentucky Skin Cancer Center and is excited to call Bowling Green home.
